Joel Kaufman, MD is a board-certified neurologist and physician executive, and a thought leader in Quality and Accountable Care Organizations.  A national leader in Neurology, Joel chairs 3 American Academy of Neurology national committees. A Full Professor of Clinical Neurosciences at Brown, Joel is the medical director of the Neurology Clinic at RI Hospital. A past Executive Director/CEO of Lifespan Physicians’ PSO, he negotiated multi-billion dollar contracts. Dr. K is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology with expertise in both brain diseases and injuries. A serial author and national presenter, he is an officer of the RI Medical Society and a physician training expert.
