BIP Clinical Scientist Katharine White poses with BU Medical Alzheimer's Disease Center's Associate Director, Dr. Andrew Budson. Dr. Budson is the world-renowned center's Education Core Director, the Chief of Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology of Boston's VA Healthcare system, Professor of Neurology at BU Medical School, and Lecturer in Neurology at Harvard Medical School. BIP and Dr. Budson spoke of potential collaboration on educational and research projects going forward, in service to improving Alzheimer's disease prevention and treatment.

Brain In Play spoke with participants and residents, attended Dr. Budson's seminar, and joined with other Benchmark vendors to support Dr. Budson's research at this charitable fundraising event.  We are proud to support the innovative memory-care work of Benchmark and Dr. Budson!

Brain In Play's presentation focused on a new evidence-based clinical model of scientific brain wellness that helps prevent, delay the progression of, treat and improve symptom management of our most prevalent neurodegenerative diseases. The therapeutic deliverable is improved functioning, communication, preservation and growth of brain cells.

American Academy of Neurology Brain Health Fair

Boston, MA - April 21, 2017

The American Academy of Neurology is hosting a FREE one-time-only event connecting neurology patients, families, and caregivers affected by a brain disease, as well as students interested in brain science and the general public.

The 2017 Brain Health Fair is designed and executed by neurologists, with local and national experts, who are on hand to answer questions about the wonders of the brain. Find out about the latest research advances in multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's and Dementia, epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's and movement disorders, pain and headache, concussion, the latest advances in child neurology, and other brain diseases.

The Brain Health Fair is presented by the American Academy of Neurology, the world's largest association of neurologists and neuroscience professionals, with 32,000 members.   Read More

Brain In Play Keynotes Brain Injury Association of RHode Island Conference

Brain In Play International’s clinician scientists and medical director presented the neuro-epigenetic platform underlying BPE’s molecular and cellular dynamics that facilitate the growth of new brain cells and improves the connections between neurons – while also growing microscopic blood vessels providing nutrients to both. Anecdotal case reports were presented by Brain In Play’s team describing BPE’s efficacy with patients suffering: traumatic brain injury, major concussion and ‘stroke/brain tumor/seizure disorder’ related acquired brain injuries. Original research, client testimonials and facilitated audience participation completed BPE’s presentation as a primary prevention and treatment strategy that optimizes the functioning, communication, preservation and growth of brain cells.

Saving Brains - Saving Lives

Brain In Play Foundation Nonprofit teams up with Providence Community Library for the national launch of their new brain-saving book, Winning the War Against Concussions In Youth Sports. On Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 5:45 pm the authors present their concussion prevention and healing system for athletes under 21 at Knight Library, 275 Elmwood Ave in Providence RI, joined by a concussed N/E Patriot NFL Veteran. The book’s mission is to save youth brains and save youth sports, especially the high risk sports of soccer, hockey, football lacrosse and others, while also improving athletic and academic performance. The book is primarily written for players, parents and coaches – the public is warmly invited to attend

Brain In Play International Names Dr. Alan Ashare Medical Director

April 3, 2015

International youth sports safety physician Dr. Alan Ashare of Boston's Tufts Medical School is named Brain In Play’s COE Medical Director. Dr. Ashare directs USA Hockey’s national safety committee, is president of the Hockey Equipment Certification Council (HECC – certifies all hockey helmets), is chief medical advisor for the MA Interscholastic League, and a global brain and spinal cord injury sports safety icon.  Dr. Ashare is Chief Nuclear Medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and Professor of Radiology at Tufts Medical School with a specialty in disease imaging diagnostics and a core interest in preventing and treating brain injuries and diseases of aging.  A serial author, he originated Heads Up, Don’t Duck in the mid-90s and in 2015 released The Mechanism of Concussion in Sports (1st editor).  Alan Chairs MA’s Interscholastic Medical Sports Committee and MA’s Medical Society Sports Medicine Committee.
